My video effects
Cross dissolve to black
Cross dissolves, sometimes called cross-fades, were at their most popular during the early days of cinematography and can be considered one of cinema’s earliest special effects. In older movies, they were often used to show the passage of time, create a montage-like effect, or provide a gentle transition from one scene to the next.
This transition I have used is to show that the protagonist has got hit by a paper ball by one of the classmates to show that the force of the paper ball was strong and it was like a force of a rock and the transition shows he has been passed out and seriously injured.
Dip to white
The transition I have used is to make the disguised antagonist wakes up the main character after his scary imagination dream and he came back to the real world but he is still in the other dimension world this will confuse the audience what intentions the film trailer as it is in the supernatural genre.
Dip to black
A dip to black effect is an effect when an important scene is about to finish or to create a transition between two or more scenes for trailers or tv shows I have used a lot of dip to black transitions in my trailer to show that different clips transition and I have included one for the ending logo and release date to make it look like it is disappearing.
TV Static clip
A TV static clip means that a TV signal is bad or there is no channels on during the night I have included some static shots in my trailer to make it look like a horror or a supernatural type movie I have also included these clips because in some scenes the zombies grab the protagonist and I have put one in the ending to show the zombies teleport and move quickly.
